CHOCOLATE FACTORY TOUR
Most chocolate factories do not offer tours of their plants due to safety and hygienic considerations. Yet there are some companies that receive visitors and offer tours of their facilities.
Chocolat Alprose SA
Chocolat Alprose SA operates a small chocolate museum also featuring a chocolate shop and offers a brief tour of the factory with tasting for free. In the CHOCO-STUDIO children can make their own chocolate bars.
Visits can be arranged daily from 9 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. (or to 4.30 p.m. on weekends). There are no factory tours on weekends. Entrance fees are CHF 3.-- for adults and CHF 1.-- for children in the age of 6 to 16.

Chocolats & Cacaos Favarger SA
Favarger, chocolate factory in Geneva since 1826, invites its visitors every Thursday to a factory tour in its production plant as well as to sample a selection of chocolates.
The visit takes place every Thursday from 9.00 to 11.30 a.m. and from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m. Entrance fees are CHF 25.-- for adults and CHF 15.-- for children (from 10 years). The factory tours are for groups from 8 to 40 people. A written prior announcement (minimum 3 weeks before the visit) is requested.

Chocolat Frey AG
Chocolat Frey AG offers plant tours followed by advantageous purchasing in Frey shop for employees; prior registration is required.
Tours take place from Monday to Thursday morning for groups consisting of 12 to 50 participants (minimal age: 14). The factory tour costs CHF 5.-- for adults and CHF 3.-- for adolescents. Visits cannot be arranged from July to mid-August and in December.

Maestrani Schweizer Schokoladen AG
In the manufacturing building SchoggiLand in Flawil visitors can observe the chocolate production process from a gallery. A video terminal informs the visitor about the manufacture of chocolate. No advance arrangements are necessary.
Opening hours of the visitors' gallery/factory shop: Monday to Friday: from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and from 2 to 6 p.m.; Saturdays: from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. A guided tour takes place every Wednesday at 2 p.m. Entrance fees are CHF 7.-- per person (free access for children up to 5 years old). For groups (from 8 people) guided tours are available by advance arrangement only (by phone).

Visiting Maison Cailler in Broc means experiencing delicious moments through the history, people and recipes that have made Cailler chocolate so legendary. In the Atelier du Chocolat, you can also discover the art of creating these tasty goodies and make your very own chocolates (registration required).
The Maison Cailler is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (from November 1st to March 31th: from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.). The access is free for children until 16, adults pay CHF 10.-- (reduced entrance fees for students, senior citizens and groups of adults: CHF 8.--). Groups beyond 10 people are kindly requested to announce their visit in advance.
