Collective labour agreement of the Swiss chocolate industry

Since 1938 CHOCOSUISSE has been a party to the collective labour agreement of the Swiss chocolate industry. This guarantees operating staff modern working conditions and is based on an absolute undertaking to refrain from taking industrial action. Individual member companies are not subject to the collective labour agreement (GAV) because they are excluded from its scope either because of existing company contracts or because of an alternative contract.

Services and representation of interests

The CHOCOSUISSE branch office is the contact point for member companies that have questions concerning labour law or social matters. It monitors regulatory developments and submits proposals for any actions required to the Commission for Personnel Affairs. One member of this commission represents CHOCOSUISSE on the board of the Swiss Employers’ Association. In this way, effective influence on the opinion-making process in labour questions is guaranteed.

Albicolac and Icolac compensation funds

CHOCOSUISSE is one of the founding associations of the compensation fund of the chocolate, biscuit, confectionery, pasta and condensed milk industries and breweries (Albicolac) and the family compensation fund Icolac. This enables the member companies of CHOCOSUISSE to process social insurance for their employees in a legally compliant and cost-effective manner.
